The Journey So Far!!!

Date back to September 2016…. you cannot imagine the joy in my heart as I decided to start writing again.. It took a whole lot to make up my mind, trust me I didn’t want to do this but I have friends who know my strength, what gives me joy and they pushed for so long.

Am about to give a summary of what I did, what I went through and how I got here and blogging is on from now till forever.

September 2016, I started working as a contract staff at Rave Television, I worked under the programmes department of Rave Television while I waited for NYSC list.. I wanted to serve in Abuja (I already searched for accommodation without my father’s consent at that) and prayed so much that I get posted to Abuja.

Few weeks later, we got our posting letter. Hmmm, (don’t think about it oo) when I saw A, I jumped and my friend spoilt the moment when she said Akwa Ibom (Oyin nah Akwa Ibom oo). I fell into the chair and I felt disappointed because I anticipated so much but wetin man pikin go do nah?

It was three days to camp, I went to buy all I needed for my three weeks stay in Akwa Ibom. I needed to make my hair but I got discouraged and decided to have a big chop.. (I rocked my natural hair wella, poured water while on parade ground and I got exhausted). Do you even remember any part of the NYSC anthem? lemme help you hum in your head
“Youths Obey the clarion call
let us lift our nation high
under the sun or in the rain (my hair helped me to achieve this part sha cause while other girls where trying to get covered under the rain, I chilled with my platoon guys)
with dedication and selflessness,
Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve”

I didn’t serve in Akwa Ibom oo.. I got relocated to Lagos by my father but that didn’t go down well with me as I was beginning to enjoy Uyo and the beautiful environ. I left Akwa Ibom back to Lagos after planning with my friends that we would tour Eket and environs (I will dedicate a story to my 25 days in Akwa Ibom). Back to Lagos, Back to Rave family, back to my ghetto that I wanted to runaway from.

Finished my relocation process and my place of primary assignment was Rave Television where I became a presenter, producer and marketer. Fridays were interesting because of CDS (I was in dance and drama CDS) and my NYSC sweetheart Preshy Naye. We danced a lot, played always, if you insult her, you are looking for my trouble and if you insult me, our small but mighty Preshy won’t find it funny..

It went this way till NYSC was over in December 2017 and work started and here we are chilling..

I decided to start writing again when at least ten people visited my blog and got asked same question “why did you stop writing” (make I no lie sha, I no even get excuse sef). On a fateful afternoon, one of my friends sent me a link to the new story he wrote on his blog and I felt what exactly is my challenge why can’t I write again.. Here we are by the grace of God standing strong and back to one of the many things that makes me happy.

Welcome on board fam.. I love you all so much.. Kisses
