Nigeria U20: Respect not Worship

Image
The way Nigerians are is just very funny but what do I do nah.. I'm not a fan of Solomon Dalung but then this video going viral about the Falconets getting paid by the Minister of Sports is one thing I don't understand. There are two ways to this thing, which is hypocrisy and culture. You can disagree with me but these are what I believe played good roles here. Previous ministers have openly paid player without anyone raising an alarm or saying it is wrong for the minister to pay players but when Dalung did, and not even openly, in an enclosed environment it became an issue. If you have a challenge with a person or don't like a person please keep it personal to yourself oo.. When Super Eagles were paid in public who complained about it. Looking from the other angle that Dalung even paid this money not waiting for the federation should earn him a clap. After the girls had not received their match bonuses and camp allowances for six qualifying World Cup games prior to...

MY BEST YELLOW BUS EXPERIENCE

Image
Nigeria ehn and bus palava.. God please promote the legedes Benz users to real motor users, this life is tiring o. I will narrate my dopest yellow bus experience and you can drop yours at the comment section. I intend to collate them and upload as a fresh blog post. Most recent one which happened yesterday night on my way back home. I got into a bus heading to Cele, Ilasa, Mile 2.. (the conductor was calling, wos wole wa, cele ilasa mile 2 re), I entered and sat down waiting for the bus to get full as usual nah. Suddenly a guy entered the bus sat at the front, he wasn't comfortable then he moved to the first seat and didn't still stay there and finally sat behind me. We left the bus stop and his phone rang I was distracted from my sweet chat with my older colleague Andy and I turn to see who phone was making such noise; I wasn't surprised one bit. I smiled and went back to my chat but in split of seconds I was distracted again but this time by his conversation. Th...

ANAS IN NIGERIA!!!!

The way corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian society is not surprising to me anymore. Every Nigerian sector is assumed to be corrupt which I want to agree with. The rumours of Nigerian coaches collecting bribes to have players in their teams has been on forever without proof though. At this point, I have to question the integrity of the Nigerian coaches (argue with your keypad if you disagree). Salisu Yusuf is a former U-20 player for Nigeria who rose to become the coach of Kano Pillars where he won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title, and also won the domestic cup in 2013 with Enyimba Football club of Aba. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Coach of the Super Eagles and is expected to lead the Nigerian U-23 side to the Olympics in 2020 (if he still has his job then though). He has also worked with the big guns as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles under the likes of Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia and is currently working with Gernot Ro...
